Ending the year on a happy note

Punggol Coast CSN a.k.a. Team Kraken participated in the last hurrah last weekend and the weekend before. Singapore Regatta Waterfest 2022 was held at Water Sports Centre on 26 & 27 November and 3 & 4 December. We sent down not one, not two, but seven boats in six categories.
The weather was as unpredictable as ever with showers on both Sundays. The water was choppy, the Champion boats were tippy and slippery. Nevertheless our boats were in and out of the race lanes smoothly and safely. Coach GW remarked that in races it all comes down in how much mistakes you make.
Team Kraken performed as well as can be expected (considering the day-to-day circumstances) and showed improvement when compared to the previous race during Pesta Sukan where we had the same water, distance and environment.
Coach GW brings to the team his old-school ways and hopes everyone adopts his mindset of being committed to the team, being clear of your responsibilities and appreciating every single set. And seeing how neck-to-neck some of the sets were, advised us to power up the last 20 meters or so.
The team's participation in this race would not have been possible without the support of the Community Sports Network, the hard work of Coach GW, TM Hamdan, ATM Shirley and all exco who worked tirelessly behind the scene this time and throughout the year. We appreciate NYPDB and Coach Zul for their friendship and partnership. And we treasure our team members for everyone's support and blessings. Thank you!
Here is the report card on the boats' best timing:
